Dear Darling-
Well we both got back in one piece (each), about 7 P.M. Your mother went home after dinner with Les & Clarence. She ate dinner with Vera. Naomi made lunch for me and then I went down and let Vera know that you were alright. Of course the children wanted to go with me for a ride, so I took them along and also Maxine. I, in the meantime, called Dad up and he asked me how you stood the trip and what Dr. Oppegaard had to offer etc.
We were at Vera's for only about 15 minutes. She said she was sure surprised to see Les & Edith and Family blow in last nite. She did not know that they were even plannig on coming up here, so I imagine she was pretty surprised.
It was from Barker's that I called Dad, but before I called him, Earl Barker asked me if I took you home, as he had went in to see you but saw only empty beds. I did not bive him any particulars, but only told him that Dr. Goschupf wanted to operate and that you & I were not in favor of it and that you had been put in the care of a Specialist in a hospital of Crookston. He stated that one should always leave his case with the one who we had most faith in.
Your Dad & I saw Harley at the creamery on the way back & arrangements have been made that your Dad & Mother will go with me as far as Foston in my car (your Dad's gas), & have supper with Harley & May & then continue to Crookston in Harley's car Wednesday evening. It may be 7:30 or 8 P M before we get there. If there is anything you want me to bring be sure to holler.
I am pretty tired tonite & everyone has gone to bed & I must too.
Hoping you sleep & rest well (and I am sure you will) I'l be see'in you.

                       Love x
                              Irvin
