Dear Darling-
I hope that you did not receive any bad news from your Doctor today. There was no mention in the paper yesterday or today of your transfer. So I shall submit an item tomorrow that we took you to Crookston by auto. There is no need of me mentioning the transfer. I will bring you a clipping tomorrow nite if the paper is here before we leave.
I called Rev. Schuett from the wholesale house at Crookston. About 5 or 6 of the boys, including Geo Meir, gathered around me for a chat. Of course Geo Meir (foreman) brought up the wage & hour question, and they are for A.F of L. Union 100%, including foreman. It seems that every house in Minnesota (including Minneapolis) and Eastern No. & So. Dakota are all going to negotiate as a whole at one time. I find that our main office has sent Cliff Ferguson & Shorty Finch out to call on all houses and present new contracts with larger monthy payrolls, because they have already learned of the action that their employers are taking.
I have not as yet seen Les & Edith. Thought they might be in, but it's 8:10 P.M. now, so I'm giving them up.
Jerry Halvorson went up for Dr's examination this afternoon at 4 PM. to have check up of his appendix. I did not know this until Rolland told me at supper table tonite. I'll find out more about it tomorrow.
Well now it's 9:30. Buel & Judy just left. He came to find out if you were still in hospital and how you were getting along. When I told him that I took you to Crookstion im my car, he got all excited because I did not come over & get his car. You know how he is. I asked him why his wife didn't come with him tonight, and he said that some of the girls called her up after she got home from work & wanted her to come down town & so She Did.
Well I hope you let me know by tomorrow of anything you may want me to bring with me. I have a hunch I'll be rather hungry by the time we get to Harley's, but I'll try to mind my manners & not eat too much.
