Dearest Irvin
Hope you can make this out as I was in so much pain yesterday I can hardly move today. I had some pain when you were here & by 4 o'clock I was almost crazy with pain worse than I ever had in Bemidji. I think it had a lot do do with my menstrating. I'm 3 days past. I showed a little sign of it today but it seemed to have stopped again. I just screamed & they had to give me 3 hypols & 3 sleeping pills & some other kind of medicine within 5 hrs then I quieted down some but could still feel the pain.
I really haven't much pain today but they keep giving me pills & some red looking medicine to deaden them. I hope I start menstrating today so maybe I'll be better. I'd sure hate to have another spell like I had Thurs. I went into hysterias for a few min.
If Ella wrote take her letter along Sunday. I guess there is nothing else I want. There's another young girl in here now. She may have to have an appendicitis operation.
I wish you could have been beside me Thurs. It would have been some comfort even if you could not relieve my pain. I certainly miss you a lot.
I don't even have my back raised today so it's hard to write so will close.
With Love & Kisses to you & the
children - Elsie
