My Dear Darling -
When I'm writing so often I can think of nothing in new news to tell you. Yesterday I arranged to have Harold Thoroldson haul out my rubbish because Buel was using his trailer and your Dad has no rack for his trailer. Harold chares $1.35 per hr. for truck & man. So I burned all that was burnable so that I haven't enough left to take anymore than half an hour for them to haul or about 15 cents. That's cheaper than I can haul it with the car & trailer because I'd have to make 5 or 6 trips, where he'll take it in one. I spent most of the day yesterday burning rubbish except for the time I took out to go to Bob's funeral. I did not get time to take a nap. But when I got home this A.M. I ate breakfast and went to bed at 7 o'clock & just got up now at 5. It sure is lonesome around here with you away and also Duane. It will seem more like home again when you get back, even if you can't be up for a few days. Mrs Krause asked the head nurse if you are going to have to have an operation, and she said that Dr. Oppegaard said that he did not think there was any need of such an operation. Well he told me the same thing as you know, and you & I can be thankful for that anyway.
I just now finished supper. We had potatoes, gravy & hamburger and parsnips. Also head lettuce with salad dressing. We ran out of every kind of veg. in the basement so I got a case of corn and 1/2 cs of peas at Wholesale House last nite. Am going to get some green beans tonite. I believe I told you that Rolland quit Pearl Stecker. Well he's no better off now, because he's chasing around with Ruth Stecker now. He has been working at the 2nd St. Shell oil station every day lately when he gets through at the milk plant. I could not get a letter to Vernon because Dorothy did not give me their address. But I got it from Maxine yesterday when she was in town, so I'll try to write Vernon tomorrow.
I cannot think of anything else so will close until tomorrow.
I love you ever so much and will be glad when you are well enough to be home with me again.

             Lots of Love
                   From Hubby
