Don't forget Crookston Hospital
my kerchief Tues. nite
------------

Dearest Honey,
Well I guess I won't wait for your postcards as I don't think I'd use it this time anyhow. I've been feeling about the same since Sunday. Today I've had a few little pains in my tubes again. I'm afraid I'm going to get those same pains I use to have in Bemidji because after all my tubes are still inflamed. But maybe not as much.
I didn't know I've been running such a temp. as I have been. This morning the nurse said "Keep up your good work, you got your temp. down to 99.6." This afternoon it was 101 and a fraction. I'm going to ask her how high it has been. I knew it must have been high but thought it should be down now & I have not been sitting up. For the last week at least once a day I've been going into a cold sweat. Sweat glands are all over & they have to put on extra blankets. It only lasts for 45 min. then they have to change my nighty & some of the bed clothes.
Mrs. Shuett was here & just left. She stayed all of an hour & brought me up some carnations and some green leafy sprays. I don't know what you call them. She said she was going to ask some of the other ladies to come by from the church. He was up yesterday. It was 6 o'clock when I started & now it's 8:00 P.M. & now my side is so sore I can hardly lay my finger on it and the pain has increased some. I'll never be able to sleep without something to sleep on & Doc. didn't say for them to give me anything today. And the nurse that's on nights now won't call him & find out unless I simply scream. The other one use to give me something. I guess she called him. Well my wrist is simply aching so will have to close.

             With Love & Kisses
               To my family
                    Elsie

P.S. Well it's Wed. morning & my side feels fine & no pain.
Doc happened to be up to one of his patients last nite & gave
me a sleeping pill & a pain pill so I slept quite well.
