Dear Elsie -
It sure did rain a lot when we were on our way home last nite. My motor got wet twice. I thought it was going to stop both times but I managed to keep it going even if it was only about 10 mi. per hr. I only drove 30 & 40 all the way.
There is no doubt in my mind but what it made you more or less nervous to have 5 other fellas with me in your room. Well you certainly looked much better last nite, in fact best I've seen you looking since the day you went out there. Now if you can just keep on showing more improvement it won't take so very long before you can be up on your feet. Once you are able to sit up a little each day you'll be surprised how fast you can gain back your strength. When our friends ask me how long before you can come home I simply have to tell them I don't know but that I hope that you'll be home in at least another couple weeks anyway. But I've been telling them that for the last two weeks now. I am enclosing an item which I had put in the paper. You will note that I had to make a couple of corrections. I mowed the front lawn tonite and also started smoothing out the garden with the rake. Did not get any planting done though. I do not know of anything else so I'll close now and maybe I'll know of something else to write about tomorrow evening. So, So-Long until tomorrow, Darling.

                                    Love & Kisses
                                       from Irvin
