Dear Darling,
Well my Dear, I haven't hardly anything to write about but I'll do the best I can.
I've had just one answer to my ad so far. That was B.C. Olson. He wanted some cucumbers. I sold him that scant 1/2 bu I picked last nite for 50 cents. I gave him dill to go with it.
You probably remember that one sale is all that I had made on the camera punch board. I would always forget to take the punch board with me until today. And then I sold the whole board. Bud, at Bud's Lunch, won the camera, but he does not know it yet. Clarence Bly won the billfold. Seems like it's always the "tight-wad", like Clarence for instance, that gets the breaks. Bud & his wife bought 6 chances, totaling $1.74. So he certainly is entitled to win the prize.
Prochnow's said that they see by the paper that you were recovering very rapidly, and that they were sure glad to hear that. I told them not to take the Pioneer to serious, because the editor sure strecthed it from the information that I gave them. My statement to the paper was, "She is doing quite well". How in the world can you be recovering "very rapidly" the next day after your operation? The boys at the wholesale house, B.C. Olson, Prochnow's, Hugh McCormick, Bud's Lunch & others all ask me when I expect you home. Well - I just don't know. But I sure hope that you will not be gone more than three weeks. After all, you've had more than your share already before you had your operation. Please drop me a card as soon as you are able, won't you, Darling. I'd love to hear from you so that I might know how you are getting along. When I go to bed I lay awake, sometimes for several hours, thinking and wondering whether the nurses see that your pain is kept down or not. Or if maybe your pills have greatly relieved you, but I have my doubts. But I am praying for you Darling.
It's getting toward 10 P.M. and I'm getting awful sleepy. So I better go to bed. The house sure seems very dead-like with everybody gone but myself. But I'm looking forward to when you can be back with me.
I expect to miss the services Sunday as I would like to get started for Crookston by or before 10 A.M.
Well good nite my sweet till tomorrow, and I'll be a - seein' you Sunday.

                     Love Irvin
