"My name is Irvin Luebeck." "My name is Irvin Luebeck." "My name is Irvin Luebeck." Kitty Carlisle: Sailor number one, why did you choose the navy rather than some other branch of service? My dad owned an apple orchard. As a youngster I worked in the orchard. One day an apple fell out of a tree and struck me on my head. Made me dizzy.. the orchard began to spin around me.. got a little sea-sick. I liked it. Right then, I knew the navy was for me. Orson Bean: Sailor number three, where were you stationed? I don't know where I was stationed, but if you added up all the places in the world there are to be stationed and divided by the number of places there are to be stationed, you'd get the place where I was stationed, I'm sure. I've figured out a lot of other things like that too. I'm very smart. Peggy Cass: Sailor number two, what did you do after being discharged from the navy? I took the first train home and gave my wife the biggest, longest hug of our lives. ============================== <-- back to weird dream <-- back to navy index <-- back to main index |
